CANCELLATION & PAYMENT POLICY

Please read the following policy carefully before reserving your place at Genesis.

Genesis retreats are intentionally intimate and limited in capacity. Once your reservation is confirmed, we begin securing accommodations, meals, transportation, experiences, and other arrangements on your behalf. Because of these commitments, all reservations are subject to the following payment and cancellation terms.

RESERVING YOUR PLACE

A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your room and secure your place at Genesis.

Your remaining balance will be divided into three scheduled payments, with the final payment due February 1, 2027.

All retreat balances must be paid in full before the retreat begins.

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

For reservations made before the first scheduled payment:

$500 deposit — due at time of reservation
November 1, 2026
December 15, 2026
February 1, 2027

Reservations made after a scheduled payment date may require any missed payments to be paid at the time of booking.

CANCELLATIONS

We understand that plans can change. Because Genesis makes commitments to our venue, accommodations, and retreat partners well in advance, cancellation terms become more restrictive as the retreat approaches. All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to Genesis.

Through November 30, 2026
- Your $500 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable. Any additional payments made beyond the deposit are eligible for a refund.
December 1, 2026 – January 4, 2027
- 50% of the total retreat price is non-refundable. Any refundable balance will be returned to the original payment method.
January 5 – February 4, 2027
- 75% of the total retreat price is non-refundable. Any refundable balance will be returned to the original payment method.
February 5, 2027 and after
- All payments are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Please note that the initial $500 deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable at all times, regardless of when a cancellation is made.

Genesis strongly recommends purchasing travel insurance that includes trip cancellation and interruption coverage.

TRANSFERRING YOUR RESERVATION

If you are unable to attend Genesis, you may request to transfer your reservation to another guest, subject to availability and approval by Genesis.

The replacement guest must complete all required registration forms and meet all retreat requirements before the transfer is confirmed.

A $150 administrative transfer fee may apply.

IF GENESIS MUST CANCEL

In the unlikely event that Genesis must cancel the retreat, guests will receive a refund of payments made directly to Genesis for the retreat.

Genesis is not responsible for airfare, travel expenses, travel insurance, or other expenses incurred by guests.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Because Genesis is an international retreat, travel insurance is strongly recommended.

We recommend selecting coverage that includes trip cancellation, trip interruption, medical expenses, and emergency evacuation.

PAYMENT AUTHORIZATION

By submitting your reservation and payment information, you authorize Genesis Escapes, LLC to process your deposit and scheduled payments according to the payment schedule provided at the time of reservation.

By reserving your place, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the payment and cancellation policy above.

FAQs

Do I HAVE TO PRACTICE YOGA TO ATTEND?

Not at all! While yoga is part of our experience, GENESIS is about so much more than what's happening on the mat. Come to move, rest, explore, connect, or simply enjoy a little time for yourself. All levels and comfort zones are welcome.

WHAT SHOULD I EXPECT DURING THE WEEK?

A little structure, a lot of room to breathe. Expect 2–3 opportunities throughout the day for yoga, movement, meditation, and connection, balanced with plenty of time to lounge by the pool, explore, adventure, or do absolutely nothing.

This isn't a schedule to keep up with. It's a week to make your own.

WHAT IS INCLUDED IN MY RETREAT EXPERIENCE?

We've taken care of the details so you can focus on being here.

Your GENESIS experience includes:

7 nights of accommodations in Nosara, Costa Rica
All meals, excluding one off-site dinner
Daily yoga + movement

WHAT ISN'T INCLUDED?

Your retreat package does not include:

Round-trip airfare to Costa Rica
One off-site dinner
Additional excursions or optional activities
Personal purchases, souvenirs, and other individual expenses

We'll share more information about optional activities before departure so you can plan accordingly.

TRAVEL + ARRIVAL

WHICH AIRPORT DO I FLY INTO?

You'll want to book your flight into Liberia International Airport (LIR) in Costa Rica.

We'll share more flight information as we get closer, including the flights we're planning to take and options for guests who would like to coordinate their travel and arrive around the same time.

HOW DO I GET TO AND FROM THE AIRPORT IN COSTA RICA?

Airport transportation to and from Paradise Villas is included in your retreat experience. We'll provide arrival and departure instructions, along with transportation details, before the trip.

CAN I TRAVEL WITH OTHER GENESIS GUESTS?

Absolutely! As we get closer, we'll share our flight plans and potential flight options so guests have the opportunity to coordinate travel and connect along the way. You're welcome to travel independently, too.

YOUR PEOPLE + YOUR EXPERIENCE

WHAT IF I DONT KNOW ANYONE?

That's perfectly okay. In fact, we have several solo travelers joining us!

You might arrive without knowing a single person, but you'll be sharing the week with a group of people who are all there for a similar reason: to step away, try something new, and make space for connection.

Some of the best friendships start with a simple hello. Come as you are. There's a place for you here.

WILL THERE BE FREE TIME OR IS EVERYTHING SCHEDULED?

There will be plenty of free time! While we'll have opportunities throughout the day to practice, move, and connect, we also want you to have the freedom to enjoy the week at your own pace.

Sleep in, take a dip in the pool, wander to the beach, read a book, explore Nosara, or simply do nothing at all. You get to decide what you need.

WILL THERE BE ANY OTHER EXCUSIONS AVAILABLE?

Yes! Nosara has so much to explore beyond the retreat grounds. There are a variety of optional excursions and adventures available, and we'll share more details before departure so guests can coordinate plans, find their adventure buddies, and choose what interests them.

Additional excursions outside of the included group experience will be at your own expense.

DO I HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN EVERY ACTIVITY?

Not at all. Everything is an invitation, not an obligation. We encourage you to listen to what you need and make the experience your own.
